After earning her degree from the USC School of Art, she pursued a career as an assistant golf pro in Southern California and soon transitioned into coaching during the early years of Title IX. Her dedication to the sport spanned 15 years and culminated in her induction into the Coaches Hall of Fame.In 1993, Cathy moved to Maui and quickly became a dedicated leader in the island’s vibrant arts community. She served on the board of directors for Hui No'eau, chaired the beloved Christmas House, and took on roles as both President and Show Chair of Art Maui. Her support for the MACC has been equally impactful—most notably as overall chair of Maui Calls in 2002 and co-chair in 2003 with the fabulous Helen MacArthur.Some of Cathy’s most cherished memories come from working alongside former MACC gallery director Darrell Orwig to transform the gallery space each year to match Maui Calls’ evolving themes.
